Vedic Mindfulness

Vedic Mindfulness

Vedic Mindfulness is the timeless and ancient technique rooted in three core pillars of Mindfulness. The concepts and therapeutic benefits of Mindfulness is rooted in Rig Veda & Atharva Veda.

Maharshi Keshvananda’s expertise in Vedic Mindfulness is based on 3 Universal Laws of Mindfulness namely:

Rule yourself, then discipline others

We must learn to control ourself (body & mind), then only we can advise others (even our children) to be in discipline. For e.g., if we are dis-respecting our parents, then how can we expect our kids to respect us!

Practising to always keep learning, no preconceived notions, stay neutral, respect everyone, stop complaining, enjoy all weathers etc. can work wonders for your overall well-being & mental health.

Think Positive, Get Positive

Positive Thinking helps you focus on the situation and hence finding solutions, which ultimately boosts confidence, and reduces stress. On the contrary, negative thinking is the dwelling root of problems, hurdles, and obstacles. Be more generous, be grateful, thankful, loyal and trustworthy in your family & society in order to get the same behaviour with you.

Patience is indeed life

We have to must learn to control the activities or usage of resources depending on our capacity (in terms of strength, health, and wealth). We have to set the usage limits to avoid future problems. For example, over eating will cause obesity, over-expense will increase debts and bankruptcy, over tiredness will cause health issues & stress.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is an art of synchronizing your mind and body in present moment completely to feel the happiness in and around you. Happiness brings peace of mind, Peace of mind releases stress, which in turn ultimately increase concentration & confidence.

You are living in present-day, nor in the past, neither in the future. You cannot enjoy for more than few seconds by remembering the past events of your life. Similarly, you cannot enjoy for more than few seconds by planning upcoming ten years.

Mindfulness makes you an expert of enjoying the present moment, even the in-depth details of any smallest activity. No matter how small that activity or event can be.

Connecting

Vedic Mindfulness & Mindfulness

In today’s world, mindfulness has been further divided into nine principles. However, the irony is that our minds are too busy to focus on all nine. Instead, we will simplify the practice by embracing three universal laws—the 3 core pillars of mindfulness—making it easier to integrate into our daily lives. Let’s understand the relationship between 3 core pillars of Vedic Mindfulness and 9 principles of Mindfulness.

Let’s get the deeper insight of 3 Universal Laws of Mindfulness with the recent 9 principles of Mindfulness for better understanding. We will see how the 9 principles of Mindfulness are already contained within the 3 core pillars of Vedic Mindfulness (Universal Laws of Mindfulness).
