Born into the revered Maharshi Bhardwaj lineage, Maharshi Keshvananda inherited a celestial legacy that spans over 500+ years of Vedic tradition, passed down unbroken through generations of enlightened forefathers. His divine birth was graced by the pious womb of Smt. Dropati Devi Bhardwaj and the sacred wisdom of Late Pandit Shri Sukhdev Bhardwaj, a saintly scholar whose spiritual aura continues to bless devotees even after his earthly departure.
For more than six decades, Pandit Shri Sukhdev Bhardwaj was the beacon of divine counsel in the areas of Baghau, Babrala, Sambhal, Ferozabad in Uttar Pradesh, offering sacred Vedic insights and astrological guidance to uplift countless lives. A saintly figure in his lifetime, he transcended the mortal realm to become a revered presence in a famous Shiv mandir, Gandhi Nagar, Ferozabad. Even today, seekers bow before his divine memory, receiving blessings from his eternal spirit.
This extraordinary lineage did not merely possess knowledge—it embodied it. His forefathers were Jyotishacharyas and Ayurvedacharyas to the Royal Families of India, guiding emperors and noble dynasties with celestial wisdom, ensuring their kingdoms thrived under divine protection and cosmic harmony. The profound secrets of the cosmos, the intricate pulse of nature, and the sacred rhythm of life were transferred from Guru to disciple within the sanctified corridors of this family’s spiritual heritage.
Maharshi Keshvananda’s brother, Shri Mahant Giri Ji Maharaj of Joona Akhada, upheld the family’s dharmic mission, selflessly serving as a spiritual pillar for seekers in Pilakhua, Uttar Pradesh. His benevolence knew no bounds—he organized grand food camps (Annadanam), sacred festivals, and divine spiritual retreats at his ashram, nurturing both the body and soul of the devotees who gathered under his protective grace.
Tragically, Shri Mahant Giri Ji Maharaj left his mortal body on 2nd November 2023, at the tender age of 40. As per the sacred Sanyasi Parampara, his last rites were performed with the highest reverence through Bhoo Samadhi, an ancient and auspicious tradition reserved for enlightened souls who have transcended worldly attachments. In this rare and exalted ritual, he was united with Mother Earth, symbolizing the dissolution of the body into the cosmic elements while his atman attained the eternal abode of spiritual liberation.
